How did Mussolini invade Ethiopia?

Mussolini used Italian Somaliland as a base for invading Ethiopia, just as he would later use Albania as a base for invading Greece. Also, Italy controlled Libya, and Italy had a very large and modern air force in the 1930's. Ethiopia was not out of reach for Mussolini The main base for the invasion was a small province, north-east of Ethiopia betwen it an the red sea.

Italian Somaliland was a secondary base. The supreme General in Eritreea was first De Bono (general fron WWI) and in south, in Somalia general R. Graziani (he was under De bono's comand) then on the north front De Bono was changed with Gen.Badoglio.

Italy attcked without warning or a war declaration. Yes he had advance weapons but more important HE WON THE WAR BY USING CHIMICAL GAS, against the Geneva Convention the gas was Mustard.
