How did Stephanie Meyers come up with the Twilight books?

You are right. :) Twilight author Stephenie Meyer got the idea of the story from her dream. One day, she woke up from a dream where she saw two people talking in a meadow in the midst of the woods.

These two people are talking to each other about the predicament they are facing... that one, they are in love with each other and two he is a vampire and he thirsts for her blood. The vampire is unbelievably gorgeous according to Meyer’s description. He sparkles in the sun and has a perfect façade.

The girl is quite ordinary though but to him, he isn’t ordinary at all. This scene was the very popular “meadow scene” from Twilight Saga’s first book. This can be read on Chapter 13.

After waking from this dream, Meyer decided to write about it because she doesn’t want to forget the dream. So starting that day, June 2, 2003, she started writing from that meadow scene up to the book’s ending then went back again to construct the beginning of the story. Years later (in 2005 to be exact), this book was published by Little, Brown and Company and was an instant hit.

After a year, the book’s sequel titled New Moon was released. Then in 2007, the third installment titled Eclipse was published. Then in 2008, the conclusion for the popular vampire series was published.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
