How did that early directing experience prepare you for NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and beyond?

Directing gave me a new perspective on the process of creating a piece of art. As an actor, sometimes it’s hard to step outside oneself and see the bigger picture. But having directed a play, I still try to see all aspects of a performance; I suppose it’s helped me to become less selfish in my acting.

It’s important to remember that an actor is only one piece of the puzzle—there are so many elements to a production that need to fall into place, from the arc of the entire story to the music and lights, everything. Directing Perks was invaluable to me as an actor. Besides acting, you’re a DJ in NY.

Do you have a DJ name? I am indeed! I was DJ Theo Action Lorraine for a while, but it was a few private jokes strung together and became cumbersome.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
