That's an interesting question. It can go two ways...If your speaking of the universe as in "space", there were plenty of science oriented greeks who looked at astronomy as a very interesting study. They knew found out that the earth was not the center of the universe, though I believe they thought the sun was... If your speaking more about the 'universe' as in religious philosophy, many greeks went with creationism.
The universe was considered to be a big jumble of chaotic energy or primordial energy that everything was created from. Uranus and Gaia were first create (the Sky and Earth), then everything in procession from there. You also have to consider that the ancient greeks were of varying frames of mind.
There were many great and brilliant philosophers of that time that now define what we know, but were shunned back then by the majority. So not all ancient greeks thought alike =).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
