Google It was a Sunday and the pilot light went out on my furnace. The plumber wanted $250. To come over to light it.

I couldn't afford that so I goggled how to light pilot light on my furnace and I was directed to the Askville site (among other sites) I asked my question and within the hour I had an answer. It was written in a way I could easily understand. I took my laptop down to the basement and sat it on top of my washer, followed the easy but thorough answer step by step and within seconds I had accomplished something I never thought I could.

I am sure my late husband was very amused at my doing something like this (if he were watching) and I was very grateful not to spend money I couldn't afford. Been a big fan of Askville ever since.

I found Askville by accident about two years ago. I was looking something up on the website "Ask Jeeves" and not finding the answer I wanted. Somehow, I don't remember how, I got transferred to this site and the rest is history.

I should add that I'm a big fan of Amazon.com so maybe I was connected that way. But I've been here every night since and loving it! .

Well, sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful e-mail That came in from Amazon.com bearing a Netster billowing sail. Asked, "Is breakfast the most important meal of the day or can I carry on saving my kcal for cravings later in the day? " And I said, ""You don't want to eat when you are "craving."

That's when a body overeats. So, yes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Skip it at your peril."

I kind of ignore the DB most of the time because I'm still a tad irritated by what passes for conversation there.

1 One day last August, I was googling "Fox: cat/dog hybrid"Sounds kind of silly, but having just seen a fox that had as much curiosity about me as I did the fox, I was thinking that a fox would be an ideal pet if they could be domesticated -- because they have many attributes of BOTH cats and dogs -- and not just superficially. I mean, they have loveable attributes of both. So, I wanted to know if anyone in cyberspace had the same thought.

Sure enough, on Google, someone in cyberspace did. I was directed to a question on Askville, "Has anyone come up with a cat/dog hybrid? " and someone on the discussion board (or maybe it was an answer) answered that they were (of course) genetically incompatable but a fox comes closest to the mix.

I had to sign up to comment. Soon, I was asking dozens of questions of my own and getting good answers and responses and input from people. I've been hooked ever since.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
