You can get mains powered smoke alarms but I've never seen one that plugs directly into a wall socket. This is because smoke rises to the ceiling and wall sockets are near the ground, so you would probably be dead before the alarm went off. In the UK you can get smoke alarms that fit into a light socket (and the light then plugs into the alarm).
They have an internal battery that charges up when the light is on, so the alarm either runs from the battery or the mains when the light is on.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
