The Kodak EasyShare C530 Digital Camera accepts four types of batteries as a power source: one non-rechargeable Kodak CRV3 lithium battery, two non-rechargeable Kodak AA ultra digital alkaline batteries, one rechargeable Kodak model KAA2HR Ni-MH digital camera battery and two rechargeable Kodak AA Ni-MH batteries. The only way to charge the C530 is by using rechargeable batteries. Once the battery power-level icon on the camera's display shows a low or depleted battery, recharge the battery or batteries using a Kodak brand C530-approved battery charger.

Shut off the Kodak EasyShare C530 Digital Camera. Turn the camera so that the bottom points up. Place your finger on the battery compartment lid and slide it straight out from the side of your camera to unlock it.
