By default, Fedora configures the network cards on your computer to automatically obtain the correct network settings with DHCP. If your computer connects to a wired network or DSL router, no further configuration is required. For other types of connection, you can use Network Manager which is installed and enabled by default in Fedora.

This new system provides automatic networking and wireless configuration, as well as an interface for VPN connections. Laptops may switch seamlessly between networks with NetworkManager. Fedora also provides the system-config-network utility, which allows you to manually configure most networking options.

To run system-config-network, choose System > Administration > Network. More.
