How do I connect Comcast cable to older tv, vcr, cable box and router using a splitter?

I'm doing this for my Mother, who is in a nursing home. It was all hooked up- everything was working- but she was moved to another room while they did some remodeling. When they returned her and her things to the room, they (the nursing home) didn't connect it correctly- so now the VCR picture doesn't show anything but snow.

I really want to avoid calling Comcast to come out since it will cost money. I know how to hook the things up correctly when NOT using a router but I've never hooked things up WITH a router. All I need is for someone to tell me how to connect coaxial cords and whether or not I need A/B splitter and if so, how to attach it.Is there somewhere on line that shows a diagram? Thanks.

Many Comcast boxes have a digital recorder in the box (hard drive) and you do not need the VCR. If that is the case you go from cable to box to TV. If you have a newer television with other inputs you plug the DVD or Blu Ray into the teleevision and I heven have a Tape /DVD player pluged into the tv and use the TV remote to select my program source.

I will try to link you to a diagram. I might call Comncast anyway to see what they will do for free. Osb&fp=73042cab28be1b6a&biw=1278&bih=579.

I appreciate your ideas Gary. This is an old tv- and she doesn't have the DVR option from Comcast. She has her cable, tv and internet all through Comcast and uses a wireless laptop.

I've never used Comcast for all three things so all of my connections are different then what she has, which is why I'm having a problem figuring out what I have hooked up wrong. Everything works except her VCR- which only shows snowy shadows and white noise on the audio. DulcineaLady 19 days ago .

I think there is a setting on the VCR for chanel that has to match the seting on the television. Osb&fp=73042cab28be1b6a&biw=1278&bih=579.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
