You don't. I mean, you can, but then you have to use composite video cables for part of the path, and that reduces picture and/or sound quality. You are better off investing in a couple more HDMI cables (about $5 at wal-mart)One important clarification - is the surroundsound DVD player a real 5:1 or 7:1 AV Media Center, or just a fancy amplifier?
