I'm very liberal and I do find it kind of strange that a homosexual would be a Republican (unless they were trying to cover up being gay). But at the same time what you believe is right for the country 100% your choice, regardless of your sexual orientation. I would say don't completley leave the left behind just because of what (some) liberals think is okay.
I don't have a problem with Muslims; it's their choice what they believe. When I do have a problem (obviously) is when they're burning down buildings, raping their women, brainwashing their kids, killing civilians etc. I don't think it's right to have a problem with the entire religion; just the extremists ( and that goes for any religion) most liberals see the same way. Maybe become an "independent" and don't exclusively vote for one side?
I wouldn't let a traumatic experience with one issue change your views on a million issues, but thats just me. Bottom line is its your choice and anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
