This is what Amazon says:To permanently remove an item in the list from your account and Archived Items:Locate the item you wish to delete in the "Your Orders" section. If you have a lot of content, you may need to use the Previous and Next links at the bottom to navigate through all of your content. Click on "Delete this title" button next to the title to permanently remove the title item from your account and Archived Items.
Note that after the title is removed from your account, you will no longer have access to re-download this title unless you re-purchase it. Existing copies of this title already on your device will not be removed unless you choose to delete them. Some people say they can't delete Archived books.
Try deleting them by logging into your Amazon account on a PC.
That would depend on what model Kindle device you own. You do know that your Kindle has room to store hundreds if not thousands of books without causing any problems, so unless your device is full, you don't need to delete anything.
Thanks! I finally figured out how to do this. It puts them in archives and I can always go back to check if I have already read a book before buying it again, With reading as much as I do I sometimes forget what I have read and what I haven"t.

I cant find a way to delete books off the cloud that have pictures I don't want my children to see. 4 of 9 people think this post adds to the discussion. First delete them from the device so that they are just in the Cloud.
Then go to Manage My Kindle. Find the book and click on Actions. When you delete them they are gone forever and you'd have to repurchase them if you ever want to read them again.
