How do I get the selected value of a dropdownlist usercontrol located inside of the insertitemtemplate of my formview?

An asp.net TextBox input type=text automatically maintains state but this is not true of an asp.net DropDownList select.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
