Usually male dogs don't mind having female dogs around them, initially they may act rowdy and macho but again usually they work things out and like you wrote, your female acted submissively to the dane, this is how things should go... your girl might crouch low and lie on her back until she felt secure... the male dog would sniff and by nature he shouldnt attack. (if he is dog aggressive though it is possible he might lose it) walking them together is excellent idea this way the male might be able to adjust to the hyper girl and SHE might get her act together and cool it to avoid getting beat up. Also, while on tight leads maybe you could walk them one behind the other, the female first so the male becomes accustomed to her scent.
Quite a while ago I read that Great Danes once were formidabe dogs, they had a lot of attitude and could be fierce... it is nice to hear that not all GDDs today are couch potatoes.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
