I would say get some dvd's so they know the words and what it is. Kake them to the bathroom when you have to go, set them on thier potty while you go. You can do it modestly.
Get Bear in the big blue house-potty, ((elmo potty, and Pullups potty)) only because of cute songs- but these dvds do not show ANY kid on the potty. Get Potty Power and your child will see a real kid-their peer, on the potty. You will hear your child say BIG KID!
Have them sit on the potty while they watch. Nothig will probably happen, but they know what it is. If you have a hard wood floor (cringe- or if not) you are just going to have to let them FREE RANGE ( no bottoms on) a while and see if they do it.
Don't keep the potty in the bathroom, have it close by so they can make it in time.
As soon as they show any interest in it! When they come to you and ask to have their diapers changed, that's a good sign. It means they know the difference between being dirty and feeling clean.(Potty training works best when the child wants to do it for his own benefit; a toddler who is allowed to around in dirty diapers takes longer to train, IMHO!) Keep a potty chair in the bathroom and when s/he becomes curious about what it is, let the child learn by imitating others.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
