How do I let the JON Agent connect to my JBoss AS instance if I've secured the jmx invoker?

The JON agent uses the JMX detached invoker service to talk to the MBean server running inside of a JBoss AS server. If this has been secured, as described here http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=HowDoISecureTheJMXConnection, then you need to set the java.naming.security. Principal/credentials in the JON configuration for that JBoss AS resource.

To do this simply select the JBoss AS instance from the Browse Resources list in JON, click on the Inventory tab, scroll down to the bottom and hit the Edit button underneath the Configuration Properties section. On this screen you will be able to change all the settings described here. In the boxes java.naming.security.

Principal/credentials put the username/password you use to connect to the JMX invoker and hit the OK button. The JON Agent should now be able to connect to the MBean Server within the JBossAS instance and begin collecting metrics. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
