How do I make a dataview.list visible in Sencha Touch 2?

Lists and Dataviews use the default layout, so you do not need to specify your own vbox layout. If you remove that configuration from the list, it should just work.

Ext List component doesn't need a layout. Also, a list component is not a Container - it is just a View of the data which cannot have children of its own. So, you cannot add items there.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
