How do I reduce the amount of resources websites use? They invade your system - where can I find these residual add-ons and remove them?

Well you have really made this an impossible to answer question as you have disqualified 'free' software and 'don’t want to go to school' If you don't want to: a, learn b, use recommended software Your only option is to NOT access the internet, and NOT install any software, or you are stuck with the rest of the population with slow computers! My computer does not suffer these issues because: I learnt from others, researched, listened to advice, researched said advice (sort out wheat from chaff! ) I use mainly free software (that is also free form bugs, free from advertising, free from spy\mal ware.

Can you say the same for yours? Do you use a web browser such as mozilla firefox? Or still using IE that is known for letting in malware, allowing java programs to run and a multitude of other sins!

How many browser helpers have you installed? Read 'SPYWARE'! Have you turned off java, so it cannot install programs without permission (from you) and are you the ONLY one using the computer Have you learnt what websites to AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

How do you know it's NOT malware\spyware (bet it is! ) if you won't use the best malware scanners (they are the free ones! ) How about antivirus, do you use the paid for ones that DO NOT stop many of the popular virus's?

Or one of the efficient free ones? How about antispyware? A paid for one that CONTAINS more spyware than it removes?

Or one (or two) of the great free ones? Hopefully you have learnt something from my remarks, although ther is no direct answer to your loaded question. A good place for advice and software links I have found (and use) is this site majorgeeks.com/ Something to bear in mind, the people who write these virus's, maleware and spyware spent 1000's times MORE money than the makers of your paid for software (or any other for that matter) Their job is to infect your computer, they spend millions doing it!

If you want to avoid it, LEARN!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
