How do I send an email in html format with Outlook... how do I insert a webpage into an Outlook email?

This has baffled me for a while and I am not a newbie. I have looked all over for this info. I have clients who want to send out mass emails (permission-based, requested info) to their Clients.

We want to send the emails as a webpage. I can do this using a mail service but cannot figure out how to do it myself. Thanks for your help!

Here are a few options To send HTML (which does bring up security issues, BTW, so you might want to turn this option off after you’re done, go to Outlook; on the Tools menu, select Options. Click on the Mail Format tab, and on the top dropdown menu, select HTML. Click OK.

When you now compose a new email, it will default to HTML. You can view the source markup by right clicking in the email body and selecting View Source. You can’t edit the source there, though, and have it show up in the email.

You’re constrained to the WYSIWYG Outlook editor. This is all assuming you are using a relatively new (5 years or so) version of Office/Outlook on some version of Windows. To send an entire page, it's even simpler.

Navigate to the page using Internet Explorer (I don't see the following feature in other browsers like Firefox unfortunately), and click on the email icon in the toolbar. Select Send Page... and mail it. Sources: experience .

Create it in an authoring tool, then copy-paste it into Outlook This question is very frustrating, but I have figured it out... or I did until Outlook 2007 came out. To send an HTML email, the first step is to use an HTML authoring tool (I use Dreamweaver) and create it in there. Be very careful not to use externally referenced CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), as these may cause a problem; it's best to use inline styles, or none at all.

Once complete, then go into the authoring tool's WYSIWYG mode (as opposed to the "code view" HTML mode) and select everything on the page. You can use the "Select All" command under the edit menu. At this point, switch into MS-outlook, and paste it in - you're done, ready to send.Do yourself a favor though, and send a test email, to make sure that you are happy with the results.

Some things to watch out for: Outlook 2003 does not automatically show graphics, which means that to improve your response rates, use as few graphics as possible, so that your message is readable by the majority who choose not to download the graphics. Use colored HTML fonts, background colors within table cells etc, to compensate. Probably a bigger issue is how your HTML is displayed by those recipients who are using Outlook 2007.

This program is a nasty change: it does not interpret elements, javascript, certain CSS, and many other taken-for-granted basic HTML constructs. The lesson? Before you send anything out to your list, make sure that you test it using various email clients.

At a minimum, Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Google Mail, and AOL. 2 WilZijnZuigt, regarding your answer "How to send HTML email using Outlook": Thank you for your help. I found, finally, that FrontPage has a way to send an html file from or thru FP. Since the html pages I need to send are really involved, it is easier to use FP to create and edit the pages, rather than Word or Outlook.

For example, see spgutah.com. Thanks again, I really appreciate your help.
