There are lots of ways... There are several different ways you can share files between the computers. For direct file-sharing protocols (share a disk between them) you can use either NFS or CIFS/SMB for protocols. NFS is a UNIX-native protocol that OS X supports (because OS X is based on UNIX), and CIFS is the Windows-native protocol.
