I am a self taught musician in a "one man band", who uses loop based recording programs to overcome the limitations of a disability and make my music. I bought an Akai MPK49 controller and the Sonar 6 Producers Edition recording program to be able to make beats, record riffs, and play live, because the MPK49 is advertised as being great for all that. Yet I've run into frustrations while simply trying to record both midi and live tracks.
I'm used to the simplicity of Acid Pro, and I'm not very good on the technical side of things yet, but my goal is to find a simple way to make my music, by combining my Akai MPK49 and live instruments, in the studio and live too, yet both the Sonar 6 interface and the MPK49 are confusing to me. I'm looking for user friendly way to record and play when the inspiration strikes, rather than having to put it on hold due to the complexities of both Sonar 6 and the Akai MPK49. I appreciate any advice.

Use Sonar 6 to make songs with both live instruments and an MPK49 controller keyboard Just installed Sonar 7 ...I imediately found out a difference in the audio quality . Sonar 7 using some kind of other techniques to warm the audio . Especially when cliping occurs I found a way to positive use that with Sonar 6 and make my sound fuller.
But Sonar 7 using a lot of compression or something else to prevent the audio cliping , in a final result to change my plans. I strongly believe there should be an option button in Sonar 7 where would say > Use Sonar 6 audio cliping techniquesMaybe for some sounds funny , but I ve made a lot of good tracks with that audio clipping back in sonar 6. I don't want to lose it no way!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
