Gore-Tex is a breathable, waterproof membrane but it is not an insulating material. Gore-Tex linings are typically used in premium leather footwear and foul-weather apparel. With Muck Boots, the CR-foam is both waterproof and self-insulating.

Muck Boot materials exceed the long-term effectiveness of waterproof membrane materials and provide greater insulating properties than all non-specialty temperature-control substrates. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
