Thats... thats... thats... MARKSISM! Yep, so many foolish people buy into the rhetoric that the rich have our best interests at heart, and if we'd just give them a little bigger piece of pie, they'd be happy to share it with us... and it's all a lie. The righ have only one thing in mind - to enrich themselves in proportion to the rest of us; and that is done by enriching themselves while impoverishing us.
They feed us the lie that we NEED them to provide us with jobs; while the truth is; that if it were not for them, all of the jobs they have exported to other countries would be right here at home, paying living wages, and allowing single wage earner households to thrive.
We close the gap by all joining together and telling them that if we don't get a living wage, we won't be doing their chores for them, and that they can pay their share of the taxes - by which we mean a share in proportion to their income; not a share in proportion to what they can't hide from the IRS. We close the gap by choosing not to do business with those who do not pay their employees a living wage, and who seek to enrich themselves at the expense of the community. And of course, that is all a pipe dream, because there are always those who are more than happy to live as peasants, if it means that there will be a smaller number on the price tag of their TV.
Thats... thats... thats... MARKSISM! If they had undertaken Marksism in its true form and not hijacked it to use as a dictatorship, it might have worked. There are countries operating in today's world that are proof of it.

Now you're thinking about marxism, which is totally different. Well, the difference is subtle:Marxism: a socioeconomic model based on the fact that if the wealthy oppress the poor to a sufficient degree, the poor will rise up and overthrow them. Marie antoinette could be said to have been converted to marxism.
MARKSISM: an accusation leveled at anyone who suggests that the poor are starting to get restless.
As it says in the bible "The Poor will always be among us. " I wold worry more about the middle class who work hard trying to become one of the Rich but are taxed to death helping the poor and the government. Taken COMPLETELY out of context - that comment was made in regards to when Judas (the treasurer for the disciples) complained that a woman wasted expensive perfume anointing Jesus that she could have sold to donate to the poor - Jesus said something to the effect of "you will always have poor people to help, but you won't always have me." .
We live in a capitalist society and a free country. Hard work is represented by wealth. Baiting the poor against the Rich does nothing to benefit anyone.
We live in a kleptocracy. Hard work is represented by poverty, and corruption is represented by wealth. How many of the top 1% do you think have ever had dirt under their fingernails?
Baiting the poor against the rich has the potential to help anyone who thinks they might like a pension or medical coverage when they are too old to work.

A good education and the will to work hard can be beneficial in providing an income where people can earn a decent salary. Companies have to be willing to invest in their employees and pay fair wages without out-sourcing new opportunities overseas. Young people need to research the future job market and commit themselves to getting the proper training so that they will be employable once they graduate.
I am not so sure I want to close the gap. Lower income people spend their money on things and food. The rich are happy with numbers in accounts.
They put less of a drain on the economy.
0 of 1. I am crushed. Never to rise again.
Separate but unequal: Charts show growing rich-poor gap.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
