How do you become a video game journalist?

I'm not exactly sure. I've been looking into it alot and the most I seen is a website called videogamejournalismjobs.com/they have all websites that need help on there and tell you what they need either a review or previewed and then it says if it's a free job or it you'll get paid for it. I haven't tried it yet because I'm horrible at writing and want to get a lot of articles and reviews under my belt before I apply.

I hope this answered your question.

Ooooo I would love to know the answer to this question - what an awesome job! Are you interested in gaming too, melbel? I love the two other answers (sorry this one isn't much help)!

I'm going to vote them up.

I think by starting a blog, and writing good reviews of games on your blog, eventually when your blog gets high traffic you can approach game publishers to send you review copies of games for free and eventually use advertising on your site to get a revenue.

After that is successful I think a gaming company like IGN etc would take an interest in hiring you.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
