How do you clean nicotine residue from fine antique furniture without hurting the finish?

It’s a "non-abrasive, bio-degradable, non-toxic, non-flammable cleaner that removes dirt, wax, and grease buildup from kitchen cabinits to the finest antiques". (Read from the jar) This is sold in many of our area antique shops and really does an excellent job. I have used it on antiques that I intended to refinish and found I didn’t have to because it does such a nice job of cleaning and restoring to the original finish.

About 85% of my furniture is antique, so I have used this on many, many pieces. It is made by Graco Sales Co.Inc. , 1-800-238-6969, kottonklenser.com.

I can vouch for how well this works but perhaps you can call or email them to ask specifically if it would take nicotine residue off. I’m certain that it would. It has worked very well on everything I have ever used it on.

On some old furniture, I don’t even want to know why it is sticky! Good luck! More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
