De-bug plants being brought inside for the winter. T's a good idea to spray your houseplants with an ultrafine oil, pyrethrum, or insecticidal soap spray, to remove any pests before bringing them in the house. Read the label to determine if your plants are sensitive to the spray.

Ferns, succulents, and certain others can be injured by some sprays. The sprays are relatively safe to use as they leave no residues and don't pose a significant health hazard to anything but insects. 2 applications 7- 10 days apart may be necessary to kill existing pests and those which will hatch from eggs later on.

2 ways to debug The easiest way to get rid of most bugs is to get yourself a clean plastic spray bottle, add a small amount of a mild dish soap (like Ivory) to the bottle, and then fill it with water. The diluted soap spray won’t harm your plants even if you soak them a bit, but the bugs will normally leave. The other way is to use Raid house and garden spray on them, making sure you spray the plants from a far enough distance away, so as not to soak the leaves.

One thing that needs mentioning however. Neither of these solutions will kill bugs that live and breed in the soil, nor will it normally kill any insects that are in the egg/larval stage, so bugs may return despite your best efforts.

1 But after I do all that I load them into my compiler and place it into the Verbose mode before I debug :) .

2 I don't bring plants into the house if they have "lived outside" for a significant time! When I was in college, one of my roommates talked our landlords into letting us bring in the geraniums that had been on the back porch just before it got really cold. Fast forward a few weeks.

I remember it well as it was my birthday. I was sitting in a green rocker, when movement caught my eye. Now if there is ONE creature that REALLY creeps me out- it's the catepillar!

:p And guess what was creeping toward me - literally inches from where I sat..... It was all my roomie could do to keep me from killing it- at least for that night. She talked me into letting it (and I think there were two or three more) live on the plant. But when the leaves were gone and it went "exploring"- I attacked it with the can of bug spray!

Yuck! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
