Your friends are already there and with a little effort and imagination, you can decorate your dorm room with style, to help ring in the New Year. Figure out your budget. If you're living in a dorm room, chances are you'd rather spend the little money you do have on beer and not on New Year's decorations.
Consider this before you decide to buy your guests $100 bottles of champagne. You can celebrate just as well with a $10 bottle. Buy party favors such as hats, noisemakers and plastic, throwaway champagne flutes.
You can also get some confetti for everyone to throw at midnight. A great place to buy favors that won't break the bank, is a dollar store. Hang streamers all over your dorm room.
String them from the ceiling to the walls, or hang them in long strips over your doorway. If you have any leftover Christmas lights, you might want to hang those up as well. Sprinkle confetti everywhere.
Buy some champagne, ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
