A great time to earn this try-it is in January and February because February 22 is World Thinking Day. We also discussed other countries besides those presented in the try-it book. 1.
"What do they call....?" is the first activity of this try-it. This is an easy start for the girls to complete the match up in their try-it book. We used this activity as a start-up for the girls to work on while everyone arrived at the meeting.
We also had books about different countries for the Brownies to look at after they finished this match up activity. 2. "Where in the World...?" Using an atlas or globe find countries listed in activity one.
If you need multiple maps, you might check your local library. 3. "Around the World" is the third activity and you can find many songs and stories on-line to share with your Brownies.
We used "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and discussed the origins (European) and other verses that our girls aren't used to hearing. 4. "Create a Picture Book" is the 4th activity.
... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
