Observe how the belt runs across the pulleys. Now find the belt tensioner( it has a pulley and is usually located toward the top of the belt pathway). The belt tensioner is spring loaded and they have a provision for a 1/2" or 3/8 ratchet to be inserted to pry to relieve the tension in order to remove the belt.At this point remove the belt and reinstall the new one.
If your model does not have this provision, a tool by the LISLE company is available at NAPA stores for belt removal. I hope this helps you. Mark All stepps above are correct except: There is no sprin on this model year.
There is a nut behind the idler pully arm that must be loosend. Then the tention will be relieved. Retighten the nut while prying with a 1/2' ratchet or breaker bar.
A serpentine belt on this particular model car, installed several on other models and they are basically all about the same. 1Purchase the correct belt for your vehicle at your local auto parts supply. You will need to tell them which engine you have in your car and also which accessories, such as power steering, air conditioning, etc. Each accessory means added length to the belt.
Sometimes if you are in a pinch you can purchase the shorter belt and route it around the a/c pulley for example, but this does not always work. 2Locate the belt tensioner. It may be a spring loaded arm or it may be a pulley that rides up and down on a threaded shaft.
The kind on the threaded shaft should have a set screw to hinder vibration from loosening the tension.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
