Homemade whipped cream.... SO delicious yet SO easy! Just think of what all of gals will say when they taste your home created taste of heaven! Place the bowl in the freezer for a minute... The whipped cream turns out best if the bowl is chilled before hand.
Make sure the mixing bowl is clean and free of excess moisture. Put the heavy cream and sugar in the bowl. Take out a whisk or electric mixer and beat the mixture until the cream thickens and peaks.
This is very easy to do with a hand whisk however if one chooses the electric mixer it will take less time... Plus you forgo the risk of hand cramps. Firm peaks will sign that the whipped cream is ready to go! Make sure to stop once the peaks form because other wise the mixture will turn into butter and milk.
Distribute and enjoy. If it is not party time just yet, cover and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve. This makes a great topping on any dessert.
