€¢ Get an old skirt that still fits. A good choice is a knee length skirt. €¢ Find a pair of sharp scissors suited for cutting fabric.
€¢ Mark where you want to cut with a Sharpie or similar marker. Be modest in the cut - too short is not flattering and you can't return the fabric once cut off. Better too long and hemmed up some than too short.
€¢ Cut slowly. Cut as carefully as possible to keep the edge even. Tidy the edges with hemming.
When you are done, there might be loose strings hanging, depending on the fabric. Cut these off if they occur and hem the edge. Alternately, leave them dangling for a funky look.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
