So you got a free shirt at a ball game, but the problem is it's a man's size XXL and you're a 130 lb. Woman. It happens all the time.
But there is a way to take that oversized man's tee and turn into a wearable, cute halter top without ever touching a sewing machine. Lay the shirt out flat and cut up from under to the sleeve to 1 or 2 inches from the collar on either side. Put on the shirt and pull it tight to the desired fit and mark this point.
Mark the shirt's length so that it rests comfortably on your hips. Take off the shirt and cut along the bottom line to shorten the length. Cut horizontal strips along the sides up to the marked point.
Tie the front and back strips together on either side and cut off any excess, so that the shirt's front and back are reconnected. Cut 1 inch horizontally along the collar's top to separate the collar's front and back. Cut horizontally along the shirt's back from just under where the left sleeve was, to just under where the right sleeve was.
Cut ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
