How do you make good old fashioned cocoa frosting that was cooked then poured on a cake and set up into a hard chocolate?

1 I did something the other day that was just like that. I took one cup of chocolate chips and melted them in 6 table spoons of butter and poured it over brownies and OMG it was heaven.It hardened too.
