Hardback books can begin to show wear fairly quickly, even with care taken by the gentlest of readers.
Here are some tips to keep the dust jackets of your hardback books, whether new, collectible or rare, in like new condition which will help your books hold their value. The dust jacket could be removed when reading to prevent creases or tears, but be sure your hands are clean since the front and rear covers of contemporary hardback books are often made of paper instead of cloth.
The paper boards will absorb everything on your fingers, ... more.
