One of the most convenient features of latex paint, however, is that it can be removed rather simply using the appropriate solvent. Isopropyl alcohol, or rubbing alcohol, will safely and effectively remove latex paint from bird feathers. Dampen a cotton ball or cotton pad with a rubbing alcohol.

Removing the latex paint from decorative bird feathers will only require a small amount of this household solvent. Apply the rubbing alcohol to the feathers with light, sweeping motions to prevent over-saturation. Repeat the process until all of the latex paint has come loose onto the cotton applicator, and allow the feathers to air-dry.
