A combination of ash and moisture rubbed onto the surface will work for scratched lenses. I use a tiny bit of WD-40 and cigar ash for the perfect scratch fix formula. Good luck, I hope this helps!

..................throw them away and purchase a name brand that caters to protecting your lens (scratch proof lens).
Well you could run over them then replace the lenses. That's what my hubby did when he turned a corner too fast and they slid across the dashboard and out the open window:(.
Any abrasive, like the baking soda mixture will "sand" the glass itself, you just need to polish it further with a soft and mild abrasive after the initial application of the backing soda mixture and buff it with a cotton cloth for a while. Deeper scratches will not be fixable. Either that or buy a new pair or in the hopes of not offending any very sensitive souls donate the costs to a non profit.
You know sometimes some people forget that we have to relax and just remember that it's just a question, nothing more. Hope you get them fixed Paul, good luck, they are really cool sunglasses.
Buy replacement lens from ebay, and change em out. Had to do it for my bros.

If the scratches are in the mirror coating, you can't remove them. The mirror coating is the last coating on the outside of the lens and easily scratched. You can buy replacement lenses from Ray-Ban.
Take just a bit of car wax on a soft cotton rag. It should do it.

But it does work.
Believe it or not: peanut-butter! Has to be creamy though. Rub it over the scratch with a cloth for about 30 seconds.. then let it sit for about 10 minutes then wash off and blowdry and voila!
Get a soft cloth, some spirits and hope for the best!

Hehe, you can just buy a new one. (just kidding) - here's a tip I found from ehow. Com- Use baking soda to remove scratches on your sunglasses.
Mix 1 part water to 2 parts baking soda to create a creamy paste. Use the cotton cloth to distribute the paste onto the scratched lens. Use a circular motion to rub the baking soda paste into the lens.
Rinse with lukewarm water. More stubborn scratches warrant a second application.
The most effective method is to use a good metal polish like "Brasso". It does take quite a long time to polish scratches out of glass, but it is well worth the effort. Whatever you do, don't use metal polish on plastic lenses. It will permanently ruin them.
Good luck!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
