How do you replace a steering pump in a 1998 Dodge Dakota with the 4.7L V8?

It is actually pretty simple. First remove the serpentine belt by using a ratchet or breaker bar with I believe a 14 or 15mm socket and pull back to relieve tension on belt and pull belt off. Then disconnect the hose at the bottom of the p/s resevoir by sqeezing the clip and pulling it back and pulling off hose.

Then remove the hard line on the bottom of the pump. You will need a 5/8" wrench for that. Remove the power steering cooler mount(radiator looking thing), it is a 10mm bolt.

Remove 3 bolts that bolt the pump to the engine by sticking a 1/2" deep socket through the holes in the pulley. Pull off pump. That is it.

Job is done. More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
