How do you replace the thermostat located on a 2001 Chevy Impala?

You have to remove the air filter unit. Take the flexhose off and then you have to remove the breather. That's the only way to get at the bolts.

Its a real painbut its the only way. I just did mine. Good Luck!

On a 3.8L V6, it is very simple. Follow the upper radiator hose to the manifold just in frontof the throttle body. Loosen the hose clamp, pull the hose off of the "gooseneck".

Loosenthe 2 10mm bolts (deep 6 point socket works best). And off it comes! Clean the surfacesand re-install new one It also helps to disconnect the 5-6 local sensors so that you can pull the wiring harness out of the way.

There is also a vacumm line that you can pull off to help with clearance. Be gentle with the vacumm lines as they become brittle with age and heat over time $8-$16 for a new themostat and gasket.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
