How Do You Teach The Dewey Decimal System?

This brief lesson will familiarize students with the terrifyingly oblique Dewey Decimal System. Assign each student a random Dewey Decimal number. Take the class to the school library and have them search the stacks for a book matching their assigned number.

Have each student describe the book she's chosen to the class. Have each student hypothesize what kind of books might be classified under her assigned number and compare her hypothesis to the other books she finds in the same section. Go over the actual Dewey Decimal description for each assigned number.

More.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
