I think that Simon's departure from American Idol will be devastating to the show. When Paula Abdul left, the show took a drop in the ratings; many people simply liked the chemistry between Simon and Paula. Ellen was either a really good addition or a terrible addition, depending upon the person, so I guess her addition lost and gained an equal amount of viewers.

Simon's departure will change the entire show. I think it will be much like Who Wants to be a Millionaire when Regis left. It's just not the same.

Well of course it won't be the same, and I will miss some of Simon's remarks, especially in the auditions, but let's be honest, the chance to see auditions like "you bang " and "pants on the ground" are what keeps people watching those auditions, whose and the two or three each week that make you say "dang, that girl is GOOD". Once the competition starts, Sure, people love Simon's caustic remarks and insults, and his occasional compliments are probably more shocking than his worst insults. But I LOVE Ellen, and Randy, well he is probably the only one really qualified to speak about the contestants actual chance at success in a studio.

Surely there are some potential judges out there with medium to outlandish personalities that could serve adequately. In the long run, it's the contestants themselves that keep us coming back. The chance to be the next Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson has little to do with who is doing the judging, and that is what we all want to see most, the rags to riches unknown racing up the charts to become a star.

I personally really enjoyed Simon Cowell on American Idol. Although I would never want my children to be judged by him with America to sit and watch, I thoroughly enjoyed his honest critiquing. Out of all of the judges, he is my absolute favorite, by far.

I think Ellen DeGeneres is a refreshing addition to the show, adding a bit of comical relief. Do you think American idol will be the same next season without him? Share your thoughts!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
