To cover up a stain or scratch, rub a small amount of floor wax onto a soft cloth and work it into the spot you want to repair, moving from the outside of the stain or scratch towards the center. To wax the whole floor, apply a thin layer of wax with a soft mop or cloth. Start in one corner and work your way towards the door you'll be using, to avoid stepping on wet wax and ruining the look.
