When the male mounts the female, he deposits sperm which fertilizes the egg cell. The male does not fertilize the egg that you see laid; but, just the egg cell. In a human, the sperm fertilizes the egg which then develops into the human baby that is born.
A bird's egg is somewhat similar. When the egg cell has been fertilized, the hen's body then develops the egg (white, yolk, and shell) around the cell. If you touch an egg immediately after it is laid, you will notice that the shell is soft and maleable.
The shell hardens after it has been laid.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
