I've been an assistant to a financial planner for 12 years. Actually today is my 12th anniversary working for him, but that is another (sad) story. What I've noticed working with him and with other advisors, is to watch out for the "sales" guys.

If you feel like you're being sold a product, then you probably are. One guy I've worked with actually comes off as your stereotypical, greasy, used car salesman and he does pretty good. I don't know how easy you can detect a salesman, but if you get that vibe from them, then I'd recommend to stay away.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
