It should definitely be legal. No one should be forced to purchase pieces of cloth and then wrap themselves with them. It violates our most basic rights, the rights to our own body.
I really don't think this is practical nor is it sanitary. And its not as simple as say look the other way because people have the right to an unobstructed view in a public space. I'm not against nudity in its proper setting, say a nude beach or the like, which I fully support and gives a proper compromise to both sides.
And as for the other answerer who is saying that its the religious extremist who are responsible for the nudity laws, she is not entirely correct. In fact decades ago the US was quite open to nudity in a lot of public institutions like schools, were nude swimming and showers was mandatory when the religious atmosphere was even more extreme than it is today. It was actually the left wing political correctness movement that stopped this as they didn't want youths to feel embarrassed of their nudity.
(You can research this topic if you want it will prove to be true as there were a lot of public and private schools and universities that had nude swimming classes). So given both the political correctness and the extreme religious elements against totally open public nudity, it will not be legalized. Rightly so, because I don't believe everyone is comfortable with this whether religious or not, and they deserve to have their rights as well.
There are nude beaches where people can be nude if they want. I think the only people who would push for this law are exhibitionist who just want to be nude in public for the thrill of it and that's not a good enough reason to trump the rights of others.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
