How does one build enough courage to drop everything and start anew?

It's all about your motivations. If they are strong enough, you'll make it.

It helps me to make pro-con lists of why I want to make a particular change. Not everything you list will weigh equally in your decision, but it's nice to look at it all at once. You may notice a pattern.

Be careful about "everything" though! A job, relationship, or city isn't "everything," it may just seem that way when you feel overwhelmed or alone. There will be plenty of constants in your life even if you change all three of those things - family, for one.

Also, never forget that you are always you and you're always there for yourself.

Have a little faith in your ability to make the right decision and then commit to it.

I think Nike had the answer to this one. "Just do it".

You may miss things from the previous place but if you are thinking about, take action now or you will regret not going for it in the future.

I think you got a lot of great suggestions. If someone isn't happy with their lifestyle, it could be beneficial to start anew (especially if there is something that is keeping them from progressing), but it can be risky. I think vinsanity really nailed it when they said that there needs to be plan.

I wouldn't suggest starting anew without having a plan that will ultimately allow a person to move forward in their life. I listen to Les Brown, a motivational speaker, that I think would have some great things to say on this topic. Hope this helps!

By staying on the positive.. being optimistic and not relying on the unpleasant past, but by focussing on the pleasant now and tomorrow... Above all, believing in God and in yourself that you can make it.

You have to stay strong, accept what is happening to you or the reasons for this change in your life, embrace life as it does pass by fast and follow your heart. It never really fails.

It takes more than courage. You will need money, a plan, and a lot of will. You should know where you want to go and what you want to do.

Try to create another life as structured as you have now, but completely different and you should enjoy it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
