How does Supervised Ministry and Clinical Pastoral Education work?

Learning the practice of ministry is an essential part of the overall program. A Berkeley student in the M.Div. Program is required to fulfill at least one unit in Supervised Ministry (field placement).

This can be done through Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in a hospital or other clinical setting during the summer; an extended CPE unit over the course of an academic year; or a Field Placement position as a seminarian in a parish church or other social service agency or school. Field Placements generally occur during the academic year and count for course credit if the student is also enrolled in practicum (short-course to review internships). Most students in the Episcopal ordination process are required by their bishops and Commissions on Ministry to do both one summer of CPE and one or two years of Field Placement.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
