How does Thermal Imaging Work?

A thermal imager works by converting the radiation wavelengths (even smaller then visible light) into images in the camera, scope or computer. These images typically allow thing with more heat (higher radiation, and or higher wavelength) to show in brighter colors so that you can tell if things are hot by the color.
