How effective are the topical anesthetics?

Every client reacts differently to the topical anesthetics. On a scale of 0 to 10, some have 0 pain and are very comfortable and relaxed throughout the procedure. However some react more slowly to the anesthetic effect and are closer to a 5 on the pain scale.
