How far is Fisherman's Wharf from the Ferry Building in San Francisco?

The "F" line historic trolley cars will take you from the front of the Ferry Building to Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf in about 10 minutes for $2.00 regular adult fare, .75 for seniors and children. Walking would take about 25 minutes on the dock side of the Embarcadero. Does the ferry go to McCovey Cove at the ballpark?
