How hard will it be to change your 1998 Dodge Dakota from 4-cylinder to 318 v-8 yourself?

Answer not recommended unless you have a lot of money. You need to change front springs and shocks to support the extra weight. Motor mounts, transmission mounts, transmission, driveshaft, rear end, rear springs and shocks to take extra torque, computers need to be changed to program v-8 instead of 4 cylinder, Exhaust and catalytic converter need to be changed.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
